Backwell is a community school and our aim is to be a focus for everyone living in the area we serve, enriching the lives of young people and adults taking part in the opportunities we offer.
The school achieved Specialist School status in Performing
and Visual Arts in July 2004 and this has given the
school the chance to forge even stronger links with
local individuals, organisations and businesses.
As Community Arts Manager, I aim to provide opportunities
for young people, their parents and local people in
our work both during the school day and out of school
hours.
