Room hire charges From September 2009
Charge per hour (excluding VAT) Sports hall £25.50 5pm - 6pm slot £21.50 Joint use Sports Hall + courts (no lights), or field £43.00 Theatre £23.50 After 6pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday £35.00 After 11pm Friday, Saturday (Not available Sunday) £47.00 Library and Conference Room £23.50 Gymnasium, sixth form common room, dance studio, technology rooms, dark room, IT rooms, drama studio £20.50 Classroom when no other room booked £14.50 Classroom(s) in addition to one or more of above £4.50 Dining area and servery with theatre £6.00 Kitchen £15.00 Refreshments (tea, coffee, biscuits) 80p per head Use of sports apparatus, theatre lighting and sound and all other specialist equipment is by arrangement only and involves additional charges. Outdoor charges from September 2009 Rugby, football, hockey, cricket £51.00 per game with changing facilities £40.00 per game with no changing facilities £35.00 for junior football game with changing facilities £21.50 for training and fitness sessions without changing facilities (weekdays) £32.00 for training and fitness sessions without changing facilities (Saturdays, Sundays) Wicket preparation and boundary marking are charged in addition at rates agreed at the time of booking (maximum £50). Tennis passes £20.00 for two named persons for the season (Easter to end August). Passes are free to Backwell School students and their siblings. We hope you will enjoy using the schools tennis courts this season.
On police recommendation we have had to tighten security on the site and this unfortunately means that access this season will be restricted.
The courts will be available for use by those who have passes each weekday
evening from 3.30 pm - 8.00 pm and throughout the school summer break
7.30 am 4.00 pm. Passes will be for two named players and must be produced
on request.
Access to the courts will be via the entrance by Backwell Leisure Centre.
Please park near the courts in the school grounds not in the Leisure Centre
Car Park. The gate at the end of the tennis courts will be locked promptly at
8.00 pm.
The courts will also be available when the school has been opened for other users. These dates include
Saturday 9 May - 10.00 am 4.00 pm
Sunday 10 May - 10.00 am 4.00 pm
Saturday 16 May - 9.00 am 6.00 pm
Sunday 17 May - 9.00 am 6.00 pm
* further dates may be added as bookings arise
* Passes will be for two players and their names should be written on the pass.
* Passes must be produced on request.
* All players responsible for their own timing arrangements.
* Court to be vacated after 1 hour if others are waiting.
* School use and school lettings take precedence at all times.

VAT VAT is charged unless the period of a letting extends for a full playing season for the sport or for at least three calendar months, whichever is the less. There must be at least 10 individual hire periods occurring not less frequently than once a fortnight, except for breaks caused by school holidays. Caravan rallies Vans £5.50 per night.
