Royal Navy Food Technology Masterclass

We were very privileged to be joined by two Royal Navy chefs on Wednesday 2 November 2022.

AB Forfar and AB Robson spent the morning with 30 Year 10 Food Technology students talking to them about a wide range of careers in the Navy as well as the important role the catering team provides onboard naval vessels.

Member of the Royal Navy spend, on average, 4-6 months at sea at a time. This means that a healthy diet full of home comforts is very important.

Students went on to make a lasagne and a swiss roll which were then judged by our guests.

We are very grateful for the time they gave our students; the session was full of fun and students were really engaged with getting the perfect jam/cream ratio on the Swiss rolls!
