Backwell School produces an Examination Information Booklet for students and parent/carers.  Every student in Year 11, 12 and 13 is given their own copy in Term 3.

2020 Examination Season

The official JCQ exam season runs from Monday 11 May until Wednesday 24 June 2020. Most written exams for this season will fall between these dates (inclusive).  However, please note that some exams (eg. Art exams and Modern Language oral examinations) will take place before 11 May.

Contingency Day - Wednesday 24 June has been set aside as a contingency day by the Joint Council for Qualifications in case of sustained national or local disruption.  As such, all exam candidates, both GCSE and A level, must be available to sit exams from the start of the season in May until Wednesday 24 June 2020.
