Post 16 Education

During Term 1 all Year 11 students are given a presentation about their possible options for Post-16 education or training. Following that students are given time in Term 2 during their Tutor periods to research careers and post-16 courses and they should also take time to investigate different providers and attend open evenings and days.

As part of this process, the students are asked to complete a destinations form. This is important as we need to ensure that all students have applied for suitable Post-16 courses and also ensure that students who have applied for Level 3 courses, but are not securely on target to gain five  GCSEs at grade 4 - 9, have applied for a backup Level 2 course. The form should be completed only once the student has had firm offers from the post-16 providers that they have applied to, so we would not expect to see forms back until after Christmas.
