BACKWELL SCHOOL GCSE RESULTS 2025 

Backwell year 11 pupils were in school today to collect their results and to celebrate their impressive achievements.

We have observed their hard work and seriousness throughout the GCSE courses and, especially, during the examination period. It is, therefore, very satisfying to see the efforts of these young people rewarded with fantastic results. Attainment at Backwell was extremely high, with a large number of pupils gaining the highest grades across all their subjects. It is a shame that, because this year group did not take SATS, there will be no nationally published ‘Progress’ 8 figures, but at Backwell we are celebrating the exceptional progress this year group have made in their time at the school.

It is especially pleasing to see that the vast majority of Backwell students have secured a place at the institution and courses of their choice for the next stage of their education.

Headteacher Jon Nunes said: “Congratulations to all our year 11 students. You should be incredibly proud of your hard work and achievements. We can’t wait to continue working with many of you in Backwell Sixth Form and look forward to following with equal interest the progress of those who have chosen alternative courses or training next year.”
