- Aspens In-School Catering: the food and drink service at Backwell School is provided by Aspens. You can find out more about Aspens, their commitment to locally sourced, sustainable food and their latest menus below. Further information is available here.
- Cashless Catering: we are a cashless school. This means that any payments of food or drink on the school site are paid for using an online account. Click below to find out more.
- Packed Lunches: information on bringing food items to school.
Catering Service Times
Breakfast: Served from 8.15am – 8.40am (students can access the canteen from 8.00am)
Breaktime:
KS3: 10.10am - 10.30am
KS4 & KS5 : 11.10am - 11.30am
Lunchtime:
KS3: 12.30pm - 1.10pm
KS4 & KS5 : 1.30pm - 2.10pm

All students |
Students can buy food and eat in the dining centre or the undercover area outside the dining centre. There is also space for those with packed lunches. |

Sixth Form students |
Sixth Form Canteen is open for post-16 students daily from 8.00 am until 3.00 pm. Sixth Form students can also buy and eat in the main dining centre at their designated break times. |
Our current caterers, Aspens, currently the Lighthouse Schools' Partnership trust-wide catering contractor, will remain our on-site food providers for the next three years. The school is working closely with them to ensure that this new contract benefits from all the new initiatives and enthusiasm they would bring to any other new relationship.
