Backwell School Association (BSA)
The Backwell School Association (BSA) is the parent/staff association for Backwell School, and a registered charity. All parents, carers and staff are automatically members of the BSA and the committee is a group of volunteer parents and members of staff.
The primary aim of the BSA is to raise funds which go towards projects which benefit the students of Backwell School. We organise events to raise funds, we also aim to provide social opportunities for parents and also support Backwell School by providing refreshments for school concerts and drama productions.
We canvas opinion from students, parents and staff in order to make our contribution to the students of Backwell School as effective as possible. The committee also provide refreshments at the many concerts and drama productions throughout the year.
Can you help?
We encourage all parents and carers to become active in supporting the events and participate in the organisation and running of events.
You don't have to be on the committee to do so. One way that you can do so is by adding your name to the list of people who have volunteered to help with our various activities. There is no pressure to participate, but if you can find an hour or two occasionally throughout the year to support an event or help with refreshments for a concert, that would be really helpful. It is a great way to meet people and contribute something special to the school and your community.
We are pleased to hear from anyone who would like to help with a specific event or who has a new fund-raising idea they would like to carry out with help from other parents. It is fun and also worthwhile, knowing every pound raised is directly benefiting our sons and daughters during their time at Backwell School. It is also good to get an insider view of the school.
So please come and join us, your support is essential.
