Enrichment Week

During the Summer Term, the normal school timetable is suspended for a week while students take part in trips and activities tailored to their year group.  Enrichment Week is an important aspect of Backwell School life, giving students the opportunity to enjoy new experiences, learn different skills and build strong bonds with their peers.

Enrichment Week 2024 falls during the week of Monday 24 June – Friday 28 June. Students in Years 7, 8, and 9 will partake in a range of tailor-made trips and activities to take them out of their comfort zone and provide a great opportunity to enhance their learning out of the classroom.

All students in their respective year groups will undertake the same activities over the course of the week.

This is a school week and attendance is required, therefore the expectation is that all students will take part.

Year 7 students will have a split week - half a week of camping offsite and the other half taking part in onsite activities.

Year 8 students will take part in a mix of day trips and onsite activities.

Year 9 students will take part in a 4-night residential trip to Cornwall with activities in stunning locations.

Year 10 students will partake in Work Experience.

Year 12 will engage in Future Plan activities.

Year 11 and Year 13 will have finished and left school by this date.
