Backwell School Tours 2025

An opportunity for prospective students starting senior school (Year 7) in September 2026, to visit Backwell School during a working school day. The tours are led by our students and are a great insight into school life at Backwell.
Tours start at 9.15am every day with an introduction from the Headteacher/Deputy Headteacher. You will then tour the school and visit a selection of Year 7, 8 and 9 lessons, before returning to ask any questions before leaving. We anticipate the tours should finish no later than 10.45am.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my child need to bring lunch?

Lunch will be provided and is free of charge. Dietary requirements can be catered for (please stipulate on the booking form).

Otherwise you can choose to send your child with a packed lunch

What are the timings and arrangements for the summer school?

Our summer school will run Monday - Friday 9.30am - 3.15pm

No transport will be provided, but parents will be able to access the school site to drop off and pick up their child.

Please note that children booked into the summer school are expected to attend all 5 days. (Part time attendance is not possible).
